Chris Chase’s salon in Manhattan’s trendy West Chelsea is charmingly theatrical, eschewing a more typical salon design with its black walls and dazzlingly white flooring.
An imposing central chandelier in crystal is juxtaposed with inconspicuous luminous framing mirrors at the styling stations, or set into ceiling and partitions. An uncluttered style, the lines are seamless in a choice of materials: wood, glass, metal and smoked grey Plexiglas (Cindarella chairs). Luxury is embraced even in the waiting area set out as a comfortable lounge in a bijou New York apartment.
